Species we carry not currently in stock:

We can take deposits to reserve a baby of a specified species for you. After we get a deposit we will work to get a baby and they will usually come in at about 1 month old. We will continue to hand feed in the store until the baby weans and during that time we encourage visits as often as possible.

We recommend this option for larger birds or less common species. The breeding season usually runs from March through October but timing for specific species is different every year.

It’s important to understand there are a lot of scams online for parrots. Especially for African Greys and Macaws. If you see prices online significantly lower than the ranges below it is most likely a scam.

For any of these species, or any not listed, please contact us through facebook, email us at parrot@myparrot.com, or come in to discuss!

About African Greys:

We get many inquiries about African Greys. We can get Congo or Timneh African Grey babies but they are expensive due to high demand and low supply. Congos are currently around $8,000. Due to their high price and the care needed in raising them we will only get a Grey baby after a deposit is placed.
It is worth noting that we hear from people every week or so about being scammed in their attempt to get a grey. There are a lot of parrot scams online, especially for greys and macaws, so prices you see online do not reflect the real prices. In general it is a good practice to not send money without seeing a bird in person.

Species we do not carry:

Currently we are not carrying members of the ringneck family out of precaution over PBFD concerns (Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease)

We do not carry budgies. Many of the chain pet stores have used poor breeding sources that have made the species more prone to disease which could put our birds at risk. There are good budgies out there and they can be great pets but make sure you only buy parrots from responsible sources.

We also do not carry Lories or Lorikeets. These birds need special baby formula and diet.

Finally, we do not carry non-parrot species like canaries, finches, songbirds, pigeons, humming birds, or any kind of non-bird species like reptiles or fish.
